Saddam Hussein Captured | 12/14/03
Today I woke up at around 7:30 so I could be at school by 9am to load up for the wedding gig. Matt and I got there and packed up all the stuff and hauled ass to Marie Livingstone's to play for the reception. We got there only about fifteen minutes before we were supposed to play. For better or for worse, they party was about an hour and a half late, so we extended our playing and made an extra $25 each. It was a nice reception and the bride was from the West Indies. There was no shortage of Trinie kids to laude our outstanding playing. I guess we played well, but I think that's a rant for another day. It definitely went over without too many problems and everyone was happy. This afternoon, I discovered Chompy had torn my kitchen trash apart. She's now figured out how to open cabinets with her teeth and nothing is safe. Jamie and I went to the mall today to buy some presents but I came home empty handed. I talked to my parents for a little while on the phone tonight too. The highlight of the evening was Jamie's fixing of the Fluval. We discovered the big leopard fish was dead tonight and ANOTHER jumper caked with dog hair behind the tank. I don't know where the leopard went, it was easily 4" long and...well, it's just gone. Chris and Mike had us over (with their friend Kenny) to eat the leftovers from Chris' graduation party last night. Everything looked pretty gross to me but everyone else seemed to enjoy it. I think I ate some of the most delicious cookies of my life, though, these crazy-good cocoa-flour-chocolate-chip cookies Chris' mom made for his party. I ate too many and just now (five hours later) the Tums are starting to kick in. I guess I'm not as young as I used to be. I made a few small changes to the site tonight too. I updated the open positions for next semester and cleaned up the index page. Also, Saddam Hussein was captured today, in case you live in a cave. With the internet.
