Cichlid Family | 12/16/04
We made a thank-you pot roast for Jamie's parents. It was pretty good--between the four of us we ate the entire thing.
I had to break up my happy cichlid family in the smallest tank because the mom and kids were slowly eating (and killing) Keanu. He moved up into the tropical tank (he can't hurt anyone without being able to swim) and the mom moved into the mean big tank. At dinner I discovered the mom was already worse for the wear and we tried to scoop her but there were too many rocks in the way. The nine surviving babies all seem to be doing fine. They could stand a more permanent home, though.
