MLK Day | 01/15/07

I'm pretty sure that with the exception of Gordo's Restaurant and possibly Brian's Top Secret Agency, we were the only company working yesterday. I have to be honest, I have no sentimental attachment to Martin Luther King because since day one in this country I've always had the rights I wanted. I do recognize his work and until last week, when I threw it away, a copy of a letter he wrote to Crazy Old Man Jack. In fact, because he had positive contact with Jack I probably don't like him as much as I should. Well, let me put it this way--I'm glad he was a champion for black rights but I don't think I can forgive him for making a crazy old white man even more delusional than he already was. I just wish we had the day off, that's all.

Google is slowly respidering this new site--it has a whopping 65 pages done out of the 1400. Of those 65 most (all but five) of them are in the supplemental index so I'm not expecting any traffic for a while. One of the pages that is in the regular, searchable index is an entry I wrote about some of my fish being dead and now I show up in the top twenty for dead cichlid. Pretty exciting, right?

Your entry made me wonder what the old man was up to now and led me to browse his website again. I wonder if Kelly went back to working for him.

SHE DID! She totally went back. Let me tell you a secret though--his domain expires in a month and I'm sure as hell not renewing it for me. Hopefully someone will buy it and then make him pay $10k to get it back. I highly doubt Toni and her husband are paying enough to attention to notice it's due date is almost here. They're too busy uglying up my website.

I can't believe she went back to working for him. I guess she decided the money was too good. Personally, I decided my life was too valuable to continue that. He'll be furious about his website if that happens! Then, I'll have to laugh. HAHA PS. Don't know why my comment earlier posted twice. weird.

I have to admit that I did learn a lot when I worked for him--mostly how crazy people act and it's served me well through the rest of my business experiences.

What are you doing now?

Elena (Unknown)

Doing Now? Nothing...still job hunting for the right job. I'm probably going to do some part time work for some real estate friends of ours. I've gotten one job offer thus far, which I turned down because the job just wasn't right...I'm starting to second guess myself on turning down the job. I'm sure I'll find something suitable and if not, well, I'll just find something. Let's just put it this way - I miss Florida.

and Florida misses you!!

Well that's embarassing--my own URL blocker deleted the URL in my last post--it should have read: sologig dot com.

Thanks for the website - I'll check it out.
