I shouldn't have written yesterday's Free Cell entry. Within a few games my streak was over. Oh well.

Since Jamie has been in Washington DC this weekend I've taken time to start working on one of my pet projects that everything thinks is retarded except for me. An online scavenger hunt. This weekend I made the design and wrote the structural parts as well as the registration section. I'm hoping to have it done by the end of the month.

Holy crap. This game is so addicting. It took me three days of not updating my blog to beat it on Normal. Once you're ready to kill yourself, here is the solution I used to beat it. So now, if you're ready to play it I took the liberty of downloading a copy so when Comcast goes down I can continue to play it. Play it now!

Ok seriously, is Sayid not the best character on Lost? I can see the spin-off Lost: New Orleans starring him right now. I admit, it was a little unbelievable that he lifted up the rug and the trap door was there after seeing the imaginary cat scratching at it, but who cares? Not me, that's for sure. It was pretty fortunate that he got that map before John Locke blew the Flame Hatch up. Speaking of which, when did John become so stupid? When they first got there he was a voice of logic and reason and now he's regressed into a bumbling fool. And what's up with The Hostiles? Are they The Others? Did The Others just kill them off? Finally, they need to kill of more of the Extras in the camp. I'm sick of seeing these people with one line showing up all over the place now. I will also miss Sawyers nicknames; that was one of my favorite part of the shows, Lardo.

I hate Clemson. I hate everything about Clemson. They managed to lose to FSU in Round 1 of the ACC Tournament by one point. Clemson started the season 17-0. What a turnaround. I enjoy seeing them lose so I'm glad they were able to give FSU the win. The downside is that now FSU has to play North Carolina and that will not be a pretty game. I hope FSU manages to make the NCAA Tournament since I'm home all day I can watch them play. Speaking of which, I can't wait for baseball season to start so I can watch those Cubbies. Go Cubs!

Why yes, it has been a long time since I wrote a blog entry. Chris and Mike took their Spring Break from IU to visit all of us in Tallahassee. Once I get a few pictures from Chris' cell phone I'll post the full week, including a special C&M version of the 12 Of 12.

Jamie and I (ok, Jamie) spent most of the day cleaning in preparation for our guests' arrival. Once they arrived and settled in Jamie sprang on them a new board game: Apples to Apples. Maybe it was the game itself or maybe other...variables but it was a riot. We, as we did many moons ago, played through all of the cards to the game in one sitting. By the time we finished it was approaching 3am and we elected to call it a night.

Ah, Poker Night. The four of us trotted over to Renee and Ian's around 6:30 to settle in to some poker. Ian made some sort of delicious chicken and mashed potato dish (how can you lose with that combination?) and Chris volunteered some of now-famous pepperoni bread. Ian was the star of the show, ending his string of 2nd place finishes and ruining the nights of everyone else. We stuck around to see if Renee could make a comeback against her boy toy but it was not to be. After leaving our $5 in Ian's wallet we adjourned home. Once there Chris and I broke out some red wine and Jamie and Mike(r) met up with Carlos for a night of dancing. Since Chris and I are old we fell asleep early and the rest of the part returned around 3am-ish.

On Tuesday we all met up with the RD gang for lunch at Paradigm. Kurt was kind enough to buy all nine of us lunch. After lunch I forced Chris and Mike to get another coffee with me. It was a slow afternoon; I did some work for FH and they hung out downstairs. Around dinner time they headed out to Chili's to meet up with some of their other (lesser) friends. Michael returned fist and he, Jamie and I Settled into some Catan. We churned out two games with Miker and I each winning one.

For our last dinner Chris cooked us a delicious pork roast with fried noodles. I didn't think I was very hungry before I sat down but man, that was good. After dinner we were supposed to go over to Heather and Jimmy's but that didn't happen. Since they were leaving so early Thursday morning Chris headed to bed and Michael, Jamie and I played one last game of Catan, where I assumed the role of bad loser. Jamie won.

Early Thursday morning Chris and Mike headed back to Indiana. Bummer. I slept until noon (again) because I learned that I am old and cannot have fun consecutive days in a row without my body being upset. The week went by quickly, as I thought it would, and my house is still surprisingly clean. I guess I'm the prime mess-maker (after Abby) so having company over wouldn't really influence anything except that I'm more distracted from my mess-making.

This weekend Jamie and I caught up on our TV use. We rented and watched three episodes of Six Feet Under to see the Series Finale on Bravo Monday night. Man, that is a great show. I think I might buy the boxed set and watch it again to see how the characters develop now that I have a good grasp on what's going on.

It's Sunday and that means one thing: Poker Night. Unfortunately Ian couldn't make it because of his dissertation work (Dr. Henning!) but we had a modest turnout of five. Later in the night Dr. H. showed up along with Rob and Amy 2. Jamie stole Chris' pork roast dinner and made it for everyone. I would like to point out she did a commendable job. For desert there was strawberry shortcake too. Mmmm. After poker Ian and Renee stayed for a game of Euchre. Go Midwest!!!

I am Nate Fischer and I'm dead. I was killed off in last night's non-series finale. Man, that's the mark of a good show. Killing off the main character and not on a season/series finale. This is all of course in re-run form, but it's new to us. I think we have one, maybe two, weeks of the show left. Surely the series finale is coming up within the next month. I love that show!

Well here's a shocker: Mark Prior and Kerry Wood are on the DL to start the season. I know, your jaw is on the floor and I understand. They've pitched what, like 10 innings combined the past three seasons? I think Dusty Baker is to blame for it (or steroids). He pitched them for a combined 8,000 innings in 2003. Oh well, maybe Alfonso Soriano can pitch because he's going to be a pretty lousy center fielder at Wrigley.

The LOST writers really have it in for Tallahassee. Sawyer got his STD here. It was referred to as "all strip malls and Waffle Houses" and now it seems John Locke's abusive, kidney-thieving father is "The Man From Tallahassee". Great. I admit, it's in the greatest town in the world but come on now.

In celebration of Amy's 23rd Birthday we trotted down to Corner Pocket to play in a poker tournament. The buy-in was free and the winner(s) got certificates to play in a tournament somewhere else. The winner of the certificate tournament gets a free buy-in at a WSOP tournament. Chris won a certificate last time he went. Awesome!

Last night Six Feet Under came to an end (the syndicated Forgot you! Screw off! version on Bravo). I feel like like 6FU is my Brian's Alias--I just wax on and on about how great the show is but no one really cares. Well the good news for you, gentle readers, is that this will likely be my last entry about it. Best TV show ever though, without a doubt.

The University of Florida Faculty Senate refused to give former Governor Bush an honorary doctorate from UF. Why wouldn't you? He favored your school the most. He gave you the most money. Your flag was second in line at the governor's mansion after FSU's, which had to be first since this is Tallahassee.

Having many Hollywood connections, I was fortunate enough to get a transcript of the writers meeting before last night's Lost episode. Being a supporter of freedom on the internets, I am going to put it online for you today:

Jamie's been in Seattle the past few days so I've been trying to chop down a bunch of my side projects. Recently I've been working with Matt F. to write two songs that are going to be in this non-college movie. That's right, a NON-college movie. I think everyone who writes music needs a not-them champion of their music. I got Matt and that's awesome. I'm glad he likes performing it and making other people perform it.
